The Dental Hygienists

Dental hygienists are an integral part of providing modern dental care. We are lucky that we have three truly excellent hygienists working here.

Ann Masters has worked with Graham for more than eighteen years and is now the principal hygienist in the practice.

 

She was a dental nurse before studying dental hygiene at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield. She is a very keen and accomplished skier, although she isn't able to get to the slopes as often as she used to since the birth of her son Edward and daughter Connie. Ann is here all day Tuesday, and Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

 

 

 

 

 

Liane Dean took over from Greta Compton in February 2008, and is an excellent addition to the practice team. Liane is now expecting her first child and her maternity leave will be covered by Greta who we are delighted to have working with us again.

Greta Compton originally joined the Practice in February 2003 having studied at Leeds Dental Hospital and gained experience in other practices.

Greta is here all day Monday.

 

Sarah Thirkill joined the practice as a hygienist in 2005. She had been a dental nurse with us before going on to study hygiene and therapy at Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield.

Sarah is here Thursday afternoon and every other Friday morning.

 

 

 

Hygienists availability

Greta or Liane is here from 9.00am to 6.00pm on Mondays

Ann is here on Tuesday 9.00am to 5.20pm Tuesday, and 9.00am to 2.00pm Wednesday and Thursday

Sarah is here Thursday 2.00 to 6.00pm, and alternate Fridays 8.30am to 2.00pm

Please note that the great majority of our patients do book their hygienist visits in advance. This can mean that it can be difficult to get hygienist appointments at short notice.
