The Dental Laboratory

The contribution of the dental laboratory is vital. We work closely with several laboratories to provide the best results.

We do a lot of our work with the team led by John Wibberley at Waters Edge Ceramics, in Oldham, Manchester. They are extremely skilled at occlusal rehabilitation and implantology, and have a lot of experience in providing Procera all ceramic crowns, from Nobel Biocare which can be used in all positions in the mouth, with extremely good aesthetic results. They also produce superb results with Duceragold porcelain which can be bonded to a substructure of high gold content alloy, giving strength and beauty.

The overall quality of their work is some the best we have ever encountered from a dental laboratory.

We also work with PDS laboratory in Pudsey, Leeds. PDS was founded and is led by Brendan Hudson and they aim to provide high quality work, and have been awarded the Dental Laboratory of the Year award.

We also send some special cases to Knight Dental Design, led by Tony Knight, in London. They are at the forefront of modern aesthetic dentistry, and produce brilliant veneers and cosmetic work.

Some work is sent to Southern Cross Dental Laboratory, in Hong Kong which is the world's largest dental lab. Lower labour costs and a tradition of precision craftmanship gives good quality at lower costs.

We also work with Philip Smith from XL Dental Studio in Ilkley. Philip is one of England's most highly skilled aesthetic dental technicians. He prefers to be involved with the complete process from visualization to final execution. He will usually come to the practice for shade taking and for try in of the restoration. He has particular skill with IPS Empress ceramics, possibly the most aesthetic dental ceramic material yet developed.

Note, We hope to have links to web pages from these laboratories soon.
