Our Web Site
We were one of the first dental practices in the UK to have a web site, back in 1995, and we produced it completely by ourselves so please try not to be too critical. The site was written directly in HTML (in a text editor) by Graham Lovis, and the photographs were taken by various members of the practice team. Unfortunately the web site is now showing its age and is in need of a makeover!
We used to use Acorn computers; first a trio of A5000s which were then replaced with three RiscPCs; one a 710, one 610 and one StrongArm machine. After twelve years service these have now been replaced by Windows PCs, but we still use the Acorn software using the VirtualAcorn emulator. Our database software is ImpactPro and Accounts are handled with Personal Accounts. DTP is done with Impression Publisher. Our ISP which hosts this web page is Orpheus, and we can highly recommend them.
